Seb did an amazing job of documenting the talks he went to at IASummit a couple weeks ago (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). Between that, and all online buzz covering SWSX (prior) and ETech(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, … ), I’ve been nearly overexposed to idea- and creativity-inspiring stimuli.
But, personal enjoyment aside, this is something bigger. This is the internet breaking down social boundaries. This is the slow fading of the glass wall separating academia and the informed elite from the rest of society. Granted, the blogreading public is still relegated to the role of observer instead of participator, but, hey, it’s something.
And it reminds me that I have a few notes from prior conferences and talks that I really should throw into this fray that is the web, too.

Thanks! I’ve a few more to tidy up and post, soon I hope.
w/ irc and other backchannels, there’s some virtual interaction as well. now the only problem is finding enough time to digest and be productive. :)
